Ad Platforms - Voiceover for Twitter
Twitter is a microblogging social media platform that has 68 million monthly users in the United States. For the 2020 election, however, Twitter recently announced that it is banning all political ads. According to their site, no content that “references a candidate, political party, elected or appointed government official, election, referendum, ballot measure, legislation, regulation, directive, or judicial outcome” will be allowed on the platform. This was rooted in their belief that “political message reach should be earned.” However, voiceover for Twitter can still be a very effective tool for getting your campaign’s message and content to potential voters.

Similar to Instagram, you can use your candidate’s account to deliver your message to followers, and Twitter users at large. You can also use it as a potential sales funnel to drive interested voters to your campaign’s website or other social media accounts. So while we won’t see any specific Twitter political ads for some time, it’s still a valuable resource and great tool for your political ad campaign toolkit.
