Andrew Lander is an African American voice actor who was born and raised in Washington, DC and currently calls Atlanta his home. Andrew has voiced political ads for the 2022 Minnesota Secretary of State election as well as for the American Innovation and Choice Online Act. With a baritone voice since junior high and a corporate background Andrew is an “elder Millennial” who can deliver a resonant, authoritative performance while still keeping things genuine and down to earth. Because of this, his style hits the mark with a large age demographic from late 20’s (Gen Z) to 50’s (Gen X).

Clients love working with Andrew for his professionalism, responsiveness, and his ability to connect with the script in a business casual way. Andrew offers fast political voiceover production and recording from his dedicated, Source Connect-capable home studio.

Along with supporting progressive and left-leaning politics, Andrew can most often be heard on Pandora / Sirius XM where he has voiced hundreds of commercials for major brands such McDonald’s, Netflix, and BetterHelp. If he’s not in your car, you can also hear him on your phone, TV, or computer in commercials for brands such as Montchevre Goat Cheese, Discover, or Google.

Andrew’s gravitas also lends itself to voicing big and bold animated characters. You can hear him as General Are in the English dub of Sand Land (video game), Kang the Conqueror on the Marvel HQ YouTube Channel, and Bataar in the animated film The World’s Divide.

When he’s not in the booth, Andrew enjoys time with his wife and three boys doing dad stuff like going to swimming practices, cub scout camping, youth baseball games, and remembering to stay silly :P

More About Andrew Lander

Political Voiceover Actor

Andrew has been voice acting since 2019 and has agency representation all over the country, including LA, Chicago, NYC, and Atlanta where he currently lives.

Andrew’s story begins in Washington, DC (DC Proper, not “Washington”…there’s a difference) in a middle class, predominantly Black neighborhood. Surrounded by People of Color with degrees from Howard, Morehouse, Yale, and other well-respected institutions of higher education, Andrew developed his sound and style from an environment of college-educated Black professionals.

Unlike many voice actors, Andrew didn’t start out in the theater, on the radio, or in broadcast TV. The DC Native spent most of his career in corporate America blazing his way through various industries including non-profit and private, gaining his acting experience by giving presentations to everyone from executives to local community organizations and small business owners. His ability to switch his delivery between audiences to deliver a relatable message helped him greatly in making the transition to the world of voiceover.

His upbringing and his experience in corporate America has resulted in a “Business Casual” persona. Think polo shirts and chinos talking around the water cooler about last night’s game — authentic, friendly, and professional without being stuffy or overly formal.

Andrew currently resides just outside Atlanta with his wife and three sons. He’s proudly involved with another group of talented, BIPOC voice actors who do nerdy things like produce sci-fi and fantasy vocal plays that can be heard on the Talk Story to Me podcast (wherever you get your podcasts).
